Collaroy ASA to Host Handicap Carnival

WASA is pleased to announce that Collaroy ASC will host the 2017/18 Handicap Carnival.

The date has been set for Sunday 4 February. Warmup 2:30 and races commence at 3pm.

Good Luck Richard!

Good luck to our very own Richard who is competing at the FINA World Masters Championship. The 17th edition of this tournament is being held in Budapest throughout August.

Richard balances WASA’s books and manages all our techie stuff, is competing in 4 swimming events – 3 breaststroke and 1 free.

The Warringah Amateur Swimming Association 2017 Swimming Scholarships are open for application

10 different scholarships available, including Dick Gallie Memorial Scholarship, 4 Warringah Amateur Swimming Association Winter Training Scholarships and Warringah Amateur Swimming Association Winter Training Scholarships.

Applications close on the 31st March

Vale Don Roberts

David Lorimer has advised WASA that Don Roberts passed away peacefully this morning.

Don was one of our Patrons and a long-time Life Member. He was Secretary of WASA for six years from 1970 to 1976 and also served as Race Secretary for a year.

WASA extends sincere sympathy to Esmé and other members of his family at their time of loss.

Lois Clarke Honoured for her Service to Swimming

Our very own Lois Carke has been honoured for her services to swimming with the Medal of the Order of Australia awarded on the 2016 Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
