EOI 2020 Handicap Carnival

The WASA Race and Carnival Committee is seeking expressions of interest from clubs interested in hosting the 2019 Handicap Carnival on one of the following dates:

Friday 24 January 2020
Saturday 25 January 2020
Sunday 26 January 2020
Friday 31 January 2020
Saturday 1 February 2020
Sunday 2 February 2020


Preference will be given to clubs willing to accommodate a Friday meet, with a starting time of 5.00 pm and warm-up commencing half an hour before that (tidal conditions will be taken into consideration). Read more

2019 WASA Scholarships Open for Application

The Warringah Amateur Swimming Association 2018 Swimming Scholarships are open for application

In 2019, we are offering the following Swimming Scholarships, detailed below:

  • The Dick Gallie Memorial Scholarship
  • Up to four Warringah Amateur Swimming Association Winter Training Scholarships
  • Five Northern Beaches Council Awards comprising Entry Passes to the Warringah Aquatic Centre to be issued in conjunction with training with Big Blue

Head Above Water 24hr Swimathon

Collaroy 24 hour Swim
When: Mar 16, 9:00 AM – Mar 17, 9:00 AM
Where: Collaroy Beach Rockpool

The swimathon will raise funds and awareness for mental health initiatives on the Northern Beaches.  Register your team via https://www.headabovewater.com.au/

Freshwater ASC Rockpool Relay – 9 Feb – 4.30pm

Freshwater is hosting an 8x50m team relay at Freshwater rockpool to be held at 4.30pm (arrive at 4pm) on Saturday 9 February. Cost is $25/team.

WASA Info Night: Tue 13 Nov – 7-9

WASA will be holding an information night for Tuesday 13 November at the Dee Why Ladies’ Clubhouse from 7pm to 9pm.

Covering information on positions on pool deck, such as Marshalling and Check Starting, the evening is aimed at providing parents with the knowledge to work as a volunteer official at both their club events and at WASA meets.

Food and drinks will be provided and we would be most appreciative if a representative from your Club could confirm how many attendees your club will be sending prior to 9 November.
